Being a procrastinator really caught up with me several months back. I lost a considerable amount of data stored on my PC. Apparently someone gained access to the files on my hard drive.
I new I needed additional protection but as usual for me I waited too long.
I hired a Pro to attempt recovery of my files but they were completely gone. The invader apparently had the software to delete all traces of the stored data. Of course being a procrastinator I did not have a backup system in place either. My business and personal information including taxes,
banking and various other sensitive information could be in the hands of someone other than myself. This is a very disturbing! So far it appears that the information was only destroyed.
I guess I was one of the lucky ones.
Before I began to re-create all my files (fortunately for me I had some paper backups) I made sure I had all the protection needed to prevent this from ever happening again. I urge anyone that reads my story not to procrastinate like I did. Get the protection you need before it's too late.
